Jason specialises in shooting medium-format film, as this provides an unrivalled quality and look to the images he produces. What are image turnaround times?
Our work is focused on creating exquisite art using the finest methods and quality products. With a passion for the details, we carefully curate and present each and every project we photograph. Shooting film is not the fastest method, but we recognize it as the most beautiful. Turnaround times for engagement and portrait sessions average 4 to 5 weeks. Turnaround times for wedding images is 8 weeks.
Is travel/accommodation included in your pricing?
Travel is not included in the pricing for our collections. As each wedding is unique, we love to learn about your destination and celebration before we discuss travel plans. We then customize a quote based on the location and number of shooting days. The travel quote is added to your selected collection, and we handle all of our own travel arrangements unless otherwise specified.
Do you shoot film or digital?
Both. Attending Griffith University Queensland College of Arts before the digital era gave me a solid education and love for the beauty of film. Being confident in both mediums means we bring digital and film cameras to all shoots and select the best option for each event based on a variety of factors. We use film about 95 percent of the time—switching to digital for late evening and low light moments. All film and digital images are processed and cohesively presented together.
What equipment do you use?
We shoot with both film and digital Nikon 35mm cameras, as well as Mamiya AFD II 645 medium format film cameras. We always bring camera, lens, and memory card backups, and all of our equipment is regularly serviced to ensure it’s in full working order.
How many images will we get?
Typically, we curate 70-100 final images per hour of coverage.
